Title: Working Within The Strengths and Limitations of the Team

Understanding why people behave the way they do is an important attribute for all leaders. To be effective, a leader must have an understanding of human behavior and must be willing to adapt their behavior style in order to communicate effectively with their team. Leadership success comes from understanding our own strengths and limitations and being able to communicate within the "style" of the other person. In this fun, interactive session, participants will learn how to identify their behavior style, the style of others, and how to work within the strengths and limitations of their team through the DiSC behavior model.

 Learning Objectives:

 After the presentation, participants will:

 •           Identify  their behavior styles and discover how their style shapes their decisions as a leaders

 •           Learn how to recognize other people’s DiSC style

 •           Learn how to identify team members strengths and limitations by their behavior 

 •           Learn how to adapt their personal behavior style to increase workplace productivity,  improve communication, and reduce workplace conflict

 About Lena Brown

 Lena Brown is the Chief Operations Officer and Workshop Facilitator for Dynamic Solutions for Change. She is an internationally-recognized speaker and trainer who has the ability to engage, motivate, and empower individuals to make positive, lifelong changes. She is an Authorized Everything DiSC Partner and certified Trainer and works with companies and organizations to improve workplace productivity, reduce conflict and improve customer service. Lena has worked with several SHRM chapters to assist in training its members how to motivate their employees and develop their leaders through long-term behavior change. 

 She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Special Education and a Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling. As a former Sales Manager, College Advisor, and Corporate Sales Trainer, Lena’s eclectic background in education, psychology, and leadership provides a wealth of expertise in professional and personal coaching and leadership training.
