Bio
Dr. Sarah (Tippy) Amick is a native of South Carolina and longtime resident of Jacksonville and Tallahassee Florida. Tippy graduated from the University of South Carolina without any notable accomplishments but turned right around and earner a Doctor of Philosophy degree with a major in Human Services and Studies. She earned this Ph.D. from Florida State University primarily because she wanted to impress her family and her mail man.
Tippy has a long history in public service and retired in 2006 only to re-fire doing more teaching at Florida State University and owning her own business - the Tippy Amick Training LLC. Tippy volunteers at the Red Cross and the Guardian Ad Litem program.
Tippy enjoys traveling and new adventures. She just returned from a 19 day African picture taking safari! She parachuted from perfectly good airplanes while in college, learned to scuba dive at age 50, and became an accomplished zip-liner crossing jungle tops in Central America, South America, and North Carolina in the last few years. She has made it her life’s mission to spread the positives of being alive and to enhancing work environments to just be better, more optimistic places to spend time.
