Katie Godowns considers Beaufort “Home” since she was raised here by her military family. Katie graduated from Battery Creek High School then went on to Charleston Southern University on a music scholarship where she double majored in Criminal Justice and Communications. Katie did her final internship with U.S. Federal Probation and quickly realized that she had a passion for this demographic. Katie married her childhood next door neighbor and best friend, Andrew, and has two beautiful children, Auston 9 and Hampton 8. Katie holds a Masters Degree from Liberty University in Human Services with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Counseling. She has been with Beaufort County Alcohol and Drug as a Senior Prevention Specialist for ten years.  In her free time, she likes to sing, play soccer and hunt.
