Michelle Casey is the new Executive Director of NAMI Lowcountry. She embarked on the role last year after a 32-year career in the salon industry which collided with the Covid-19 pandemic. She is a Certified Professional Life Coach and author of "Your Hairy Godmother" which was released in 2016 Her specialty has been salon communications and interpersonal relationships.

Even though she is new to the role as Executive Director, she is not new to NAMI. Michelle's firsthand experiences with mental health propelled her passion to advocate and empower those who live with mental illness. She is dedicated to educating and supporting their family members offering empathy and insights through NAMI's intense training and evidenced based programs.
