Topic: Emotional Intelligence: The Key to Preventing Employee Burnout
Presented by: Jill Powers M.Ed. NCC
Jill is a Licensed Professional School Counselor with BCSD with 5 support staff professionals under her guidance. With over a decade of experience, Jill received her Master Degree in Education: Counseling and Development from Winthrop University and a dual Bachelor Degree from S.U.N.Y Brockport in Criminal Justice and Sociology. She holds certifications as a Nationally Certified Counselor, Mental Health First Aide provider, and Career Development Facilitator. Her expertise lies in career development, diversity/inclusion, emotional intelligence, program management, community relations, organizational development and advocacy. Jill started her career in advocacy as a Crime Scene Technician for the Rochester Police Department where she demonstrated history of adeptly overseeing and processing crime scenes. Boasting a solid foundation in criminal justice, evidence collection, and analysis, she was dedicated to upholding the integrity of crime scene investigations Additionally, she offers mentoring and coaching services to individuals of all age groups.
Jill has lived in the Low Country since 2015 with her husband and 2 children. She loves to spend her free time gardening, camping, bike riding and enjoying the nature that the Low Country has to offer.
